Lelia Tuttle Park
Littlejohn United Methodist Church owns and operates Lelia Tuttle Memorial Park. The land for this park was donated by former member and missionary to China, Lelia Tuttle, in the 1960's. The park covers 18 acres of forest land and is located a mile from the main church campus.

The facilites at the park include a chapel that seats approximately 40 people; a 2000 square foot shelter with tables and chairs provided and with propane heating during cold weather. Heated restrooms are also available. For outdoor recreation the park has a softball field, horseshoe pits and a hiking trail.

The park is available to the community for no specific fee. However, we do appreciate donations to help cover maintenance expenses. For reservation of the chapel and the park, please contact Sue Prestwood at (828) 758-0832.

We have to say our park is well used. Our own church family gathers there as usual the second Saturdays of June, July and August. In addition to our Christmas Trail that has hundreds of visitors attending each year, and the Trunk or Treat festival with several hundred community visitors, the park is the scene of weddings, family reunions, class reunions, various church's homecomings, and numerous parties, picnics, and gatherings.
